Welcome to North Pole Economic Development!

Nearly one third of the Fairbanks North Star Borough population lives within ten miles of North Pole. Our community is clean and healthy and offers many opportunities for both individuals and businesses.  That is where the newly organized North Pole Economic Development Corporation (NPEDC) comes in. Our primary goal is to facilitate business opportunities that result in sustainable growth, new investment and increased employment for the City of North Pole and the nearly 30 thousand residents within the surrounding area.

While the national unemployment rates are increasing, those in the Borough remain below the average. We are also continuing to see new construction and development taking place in our community. Just this year, we saw the successful opening of the Hotel North Pole, Benny’s Grill, and construction continues for residential housing. 

The NPEDC is committed to maintaining this momentum and accessing new opportunities for North Pole.  The potential for growth is easily accommodated with the availability of vacant land for residential, commercial and industrial development. NPEDC will work with potential developers and site selectors to provide information and research in order to facilitate positive, beneficial growth. 

We have pulled together a team of professionals with a passion to serve our community and a desire to use their skills and abilities to serve you.   However, in order for NPEDC to become the strong voice for our community, we need your help.
